If you've been keeping it all together but feeling exhausted, in need of rest, and ready to put yourself first without feeling guilty …
... the Sabbath Retreat is your answer.
Let me say this clearly...
You are not falling apart, you are not incapable and you are not behind.
But... you are tired.
And not just physically tired.
You’re tired of carrying so much, tired of being the strong one and tired of holding everything together while quietly running on E.
You may already know you’re close to burnout.
If burnout isn’t a word you would use, you still know something isn’t right. Your sleep is off. Your joy is dimmer. Your body has been whispering for a while.
And if how you’ve been showing up isn’t working, it’s time to do something different.
For me, there was a season when “booked and busy” felt like a badge of honor. Rest felt lazy. Slowing down felt irresponsible. I was overworked, overwhelmed, and starting to resent the very things I once loved.
But it cost me me.
It cost my mental health.
It cost real, intimate time with God.
It cost my peace at the expense of performing.
It even cost the love and enjoyment of what once brought me joy.
I didn’t know exactly what I needed. I just knew that if I kept going at that pace, something was going to shut down.
So I stopped waiting for the perfect time to slow down. I created it.
The Sabbath Retreat was born out of that decision.
This is an intentional pause from the busyness of life.
- Not an escape.
- Not avoidance.
- Not quitting.
It’s space to reset how you’ve been showing up so you can return home with a new rhythm that actually sustains you.
Somewhere along the way, you started abandoning yourself in the name of being strong, reliable, faithful, and dependable.
This is not about quitting. It’s about returning to yourself.
What You'll Experience:
Our time together will not be packed with sessions from sunup to sundown.
There will, however, be guided work.
- You will reflect.
- You will name the patterns that have kept you caught in the cycle of busyness.
- You will practice new responses.
-
You will give space for God to speak to you about what's not working.
But you will most assuredly rest.
There will be time to:
- sit still long enough for your body to stop bracing for what's next
- experience moments of nothingness without feeling the need to fill them
- enjoy spa experiences, un-rushed meals, laughter, silence, time by the water, and space
Not space to scroll... or to multitask, but space to just be.
Because resetting your rhythm and routine requires both intentional inner work and real rest.
This is about slowing down long enough for your body and spirit to catch up with each other.
Leave the Sabbath Retreat Renewed
Not just feeling rested.
But feeling lighter and clearer about how to show up for yourself without guilt.
You are more honest about your capacity.
You are more confident when protecting your peace and guarding your joy.
The Sabbath Retreat is where you identify and practice honoring your limits without guilt, fear, or apology.
You leave our time together no longer...
... calling exhaustion normal.
... confusing being needed with value or worth.
... equating busyness with faithfulness.
You will experience what changes when you actually prioritize rest.
You will also leave with...
... language to advocate for yourself.
... rhythms you can continue at home.
... a deeper understanding of what your body and spirit have been asking for.
Not perfectly.
But intentionally.
You will no longer wait until burnout forces you to pause.
You now choose to pause first.
No job. No meetings. No emails. No one to answer to… just you and your rhythm.
You’ve been carrying too much, saying yes too often, and running on empty. This is your invitation to pause.
Who This Retreat Is For?
The Sabbath Retreat is for the high-capacity woman of faith who knows she’s been running on empty.
For the woman who:
- Keeps showing up strong for everyone else—but her own peace and joy are slipping through the cracks.
- Feels the whispers of her body, mind, and spirit saying “slow down”—but keeps ignoring them.
- Loves her work, her ministry, her family, and her community—but she’s secretly wondering how long she can keep giving without giving herself away.
- Is ready to stop performing, stop proving, and stop apologizing for needing rest, space, and rhythm.
If any of this resonates, you are in the right place!
Your Permission to Pause
This retreat is your invitation to give yourself permission—fully and without guilt—to step off the hamster wheel.
To pause.
To breathe.
To rest.
Not because the world says you can.
Not because someone else cleared the schedule.
But because God created you to thrive, not just survive.
This is sacred stewardship of your life, your body, your mind, and your spirit.
You will discover that pausing isn’t selfish.
It isn’t lazy.
It isn’t optional.
It’s essential.
And when you return home, you won’t just remember the pause—you will know how to protect it, practice it, and make it a rhythm that sustains your health, your faith, and your purpose.

The Host, Meet Detra
Hey sis, Detra here…
You’re not on your own. I’ve been where you are—overcommitted, running on empty, and thinking rest was lazy. My schedule used to be packed from morning to night. Being busy felt like a badge of honor, and saying NO? That wasn’t even an option.
Over the years, I had to unlearn all of that. I started taking mental health days without permission. I said no without guilt. I stopped overbooking myself. I napped without explaining why. I made consistent space for rest—and yes, some people weren’t happy about it.
I get it, sis. I really do. And that’s why I created the Sabbath Retreat: a space where you can just be—without performance, pressure, or apology.
During our time together, I’ll share the tools and strategies I’ve used for over a decade to consistently rest, recalibrate, and reclaim my joy. You’ll learn how to pause from the busyness of life and focus on YOU—without guilt or compromise.
As a Coach, Transformational Speaker, Elder, and Strategist, my mandate is simple: help overwhelmed, high-capacity women of faith get out of their own way so they can stop settling and show up fully—for themselves.
I can’t wait to welcome you to the Sabbath Retreat.
